Questions and answers
Is this online mirror private?
Yes. The camera picture is shown by your own browser and never leaves your device. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded. Photos you take are made in the browser tab and only saved if you press Download.
What is the difference between Mirror and True?
Mirror flips the picture left to right, like a normal mirror. True shows it unflipped, the way a camera, and other people, see you. See true mirror.
Why does the browser ask for my camera?
A web page can only use your camera after you allow it. The question appears when you press Start mirror. You can take the permission back at any time in your browser settings.
How do I light my face better?
Press Light. A bright frame appears around the picture and, in fullscreen, around the edges of your screen, so the screen itself lights your face. Turn up the screen brightness for more light.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in current browsers on iPhone and Android. If your phone has several cameras, a Flip cam button appears so you can switch between front and back.
The camera does not start. What can I do?
Check that the camera is allowed for this site and not used by another app. Step-by-step help for each browser is on camera not working.
